Manjummel Boys is a comedy-drama Kannada film directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar. The movie revolves around a group of friends having gone to school in the company of Manjummel town growing up they plan to recreate their childhood in the region. As a result, Manjummel Boys is the movie that, if it had to tell a storyline, was not incredibly complex but had real characters that could be like someone, and for this reason, a movie like that would take me back.
Storyline
The plot of the Manjummel Boys is focused on the lives of a group of friends; however, they are said to be originating from the Manjummel region of the Ernakulam district ; while Vishal’s Menma was fully shot in Chennai. This sexily Japanese drama depicts how two persons who have been out of each other’s company for some time feel the nostalgic effect of childhood and the joyful youth years of their adolescence.
When Befriend comes back they say they have become friends, upon the return of Befriend they try to revive the old football club which used to be busy with their fixtures. As the main trends in the plot, it is important to note friendship, dreams, and transitioning into the adolescent world.
A group of childhood friends reunite in their hometown, Manjummel, and try to revive their old football club, reminiscing about their carefree youth.

Runtime
Approximately 130 minutes
Performances
The principal cast of the film is Sreenath Bhasi , Ashwin Jose , and Jenson Alappat. Both of them overact the character well and they can each represent the group where the friendship of the members is realistic enough to be portrayed on the screen. All the characters are distinct and are included in the movie’s comic angle and emotional quotient. Other characters such as Amar, Lal , and Leona Lishoy lend a good account to the movie and help in achieving the required and expected results.
Direction and Cinematography
The film’s director Vishnu Sasi Shankar happens to take a simple approach to portraying small-town life and warmth of friendship. The sceneries of Manjummel are shot well by cinematographer Eldo Isaac along with characters and colors. All the cinematographic components coupled with the fact that most of the plot parts are simple make the whole movie very calming and enjoyable.
Music
William Francis has rendered music to this film also they do add a sort of old-world charm to the picture. To a certain extent, the selected songs are related and I also believe that the melodies of the songs are joyous since the characters are joyful and free because the characters are at different stages in their lives. It also works for the story and has that extra dimension in the movie, and that extra dimension added to the movie I shall get into a little later.
Themes
Manjummel Boys is a different story movie on Ibomma that has themes such as friendship, memories, and time. They prove that it is within a framework of one’s life, but at all times, there is space for friendship. It also explains the essence of friendship to provide hope that one will likely encounter ‘the other’ after years of life changes.
Conclusion
Hence, Manjummel Boys can be described as a regular comedy movie that has the message that true friendship and good memories are always fun. It never presents a plot frame that enhances the complexity of the theme, or shock montage sequences, and yet in the end the viewer has a chance to come out and get involved emotionally. Still, it is worthy to watch if you like to watch films focusing on friendship and joy from recalling early years thrill.
